Lares Trek To Machupicchu 4d/ 3n
Day 1: Cusco – Lares – Wacawasi
Our bus will pick the travelers up from their hotels and will take them toward Lares town (3 hours approx.) during the trip we will observe colorful landscapes and small andean towns .once arrive to Lares town, we will drive some few minutes more to the hot spring (3250 m.a.s.l. /10662ft), place where we will enjoy relaxing hot springs, temperature range from 28ºC / 82.51ºF to 34ºC / 93.20 ºF, at the swimming pool. After lunch we will start hiking to Wacawasi (3600 m.a.s.l. / 11810 ft) this hike will take about 3 hours, there we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Wacawasi – Ipssay Pass – Patacancha
After breakfast, we will continue hiking this day will be harder ,since we will go in ascend for 4 hours ,from 3600 m.a.s.l. / 11810 ft to the Ipsay pass (4400 m.a.s.l. / 14435 ft ),after a brief stop we will have lunch and then continue our journey, observing in the route small villages ,inhabited by farmers of the zone ,who in spite of the time even maintain the andean customs ,practicing natural agriculture and the elaboration of textiles very showy and colorful. Later we will descend down to Patacancha village (3800masl/12467ft) where we will have dinner and encamp at this place.
Day 3: Patacancha - Willoq – Pumamarca – Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes
Early in the morning after breakfast, we will start hiking down throughout the route we will visit a small andean towns, such as willoq (3600masl/ 11810ft) very famous for preserve ancient customs, and pumamarca (3400masl/11154ft) after we walk for 4 hours we will arrive at Ollantaytambo (2850masl/9350ft) important village built on an Inka town, that owns one of the most important archeological sites at the sacred valley of the Incas then have lunch . At 08.00pm we will take the train to Aguas Calientes town (2050masl/6725ft) where we are going to spend the night in a hostel.
Day 4: Hot Springs- Machupicchu- Cusco.
After the early breakfast .we will take the bus toward Machupicchu, the ride takes 25min, once in Machupicchu we will start visiting the most important places at Machupicchu with the tour guide for about 2 ½ hours, then you will have time to take pictures ,explore or climb the Waynapicchu mountain. After this time, we have to return to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and to take the train back to Cusco arriving approx. at 8:20pm, transfer to your hotels.
